About the role

We are looking for individuals that identify themselves as innovators with a maker-mindset, who believe that the best way to learn is by failing first and failing fast. If you are an organized self-starter with strong problem-solving skills who thrives when collaborating with engineers, healthcare professionals and designers, this is the right role for you.

Key Responsibilities

• Conceptualize and design new components, products, manufacturing methods and packaging via sketching, prototyping, testing, and modelling.

• Work with engineers, designers, and technicians to create and test functional prototypes for new and revised products, with detailed specifications and documentation.

• Develop, review, and execute product verification and validation.

• Ideate, test, and implement lean manufacturing methods.

• Identify and oversee external vendors and consultants to develop cost-effective solutions.

• Maintain accurate documentation of concepts, designs, circuit diagrams, flowcharts, drawings, and processes.

• Comply with global design controls requirements for medical device development.

• Comply with Consure Medical’s quality system requirements and US, EU and Indian medical device regulatory requirements.

• Contribute to intellectual property position of the company via invention and patent applications.

• Maintain a professional, credible relationship with key physicians, consultants, vendors and co-workers.

• Reinforce the company’s brand position and support the company’s marketing endeavors by brainstorming, designing and creating relevant experiences.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Qualifications

• B.Des. or M.Des. in Product or industrial Design.

(M.Des. candidates with a B.Tech or B.E. in Electronics, Mechanical, Biomechanical, Bioengineering or related engineering disciplines preferred.)

• 2+ years of product development experience. (experience in medical device design and development preferred).

Technical skills

• Proficient with basic rapid prototyping methods. Hands on prototyping experience.

• Rhino or Fusion 360 (Advanced level)

• Solidworks (intermediate level)

• Adobe Suite, specifically Illustrator and Photoshop (Advanced level)

• In-depth understanding of manufacturing processes.

• Excellent writing, communication, and translational communication skills.
